In sync with the latest interior trends around the world
Dutch Tribes was established in 2018 based on a close friendship and healthy commercial perspective on interiors. We continue to grow this brand with positive energy and a smile on our faces.
We attend the most important European trade fairs and closely follow developments in retail. Inspired and enthusiastic, we then search for new furniture around the world.
These recognisable products are sold by retailers with a keen eye for trends. All products are of excellent quality, affordable and slightly out of the ordinary. This is what makes Dutch Tribes furniture unique!
Nature and sustainability
Earthy colours, large plants combined with bamboo, rattan and organic shapes.
Imperfection is okay
The industrial look with coarse textures, pure materials and the occasional 'minor damage’.
Yellow is the new pink. 'Spiced Honey’ has been proclaimed the colour of 2020.
Brass and copper
Gold is out. Brass and copper are the new gold. Both combine excellently with dark blue.
You might say this globetrotter sleeps more often on a plane than his own bed, yet is always alert and ready for action. Flexible and creative, Remko thinks in terms of clever solutions and commercial opportunities.
Remko has proven to be a smart negotiator with an eye for detail and quality. He is familiar with the processes involved and simply knows how everything works. He held purchasing positions for around 25 years at major retailers, giving him a knowledge base that is hard to match.
Peter has an enthusiastic, enterprising spirit with a flawless sense of commercial opportunity. He is eager to develop new concepts and contributes to a pleasant and constructive atmosphere through self-irony and humour. Peter is a firm believer in honesty and transparency and a patient listener when it comes to sales.
Trusting your own strengths and being willing and able to accept ‘no’ for an answer form an excellent basis for long-term collaboration. Peter contributes to the client’s decision-making process - with both solicited and unsolicited advice – which often leads to unexpected opportunities.
How do we arrive at your product?
It goes without saying that the product needs to meet your expectations. To guarantee this, we work according to European and global guidelines. These cover such aspects as working conditions for the workers in the factories where our products are made, but also the origin of the materials or composition of the product itself. All products and materials are tested so ensure they fulfil the relevant quality standards.
The degree to which upholstery fabric is resistant to discolouration under the influence of sunlight, daylight and artificial light depends on the dyes and special treatments used.
A pill is a small ball of fibre that forms on the fabric surface due to wear and tear or chafing. The right quality is considered for every type of product in order to prevent pilling.
Impregnating fabric or making it soil-resistant is important for the service life of the product. Impregnating the fabric not only makes it dirt and water-repellent, but also resistant to UV light.
Stability is not a formal material property. But various material properties can contribute to added durability.
The wear resistance and durability of fabric is expressed in Martindale units. The higher the value, the more durable the fabric.
